Professional Biography

Caris Fox is an undergraduate student at the University of Denver and an IRISE Program & Research Assistant. Her majors are political science and English with a minor in film and production studies. Invested in community work, Caris interned at the Blue Bench, a Denver-based organization focused on sexual assault prevention and survivor advocacy. There she facilitated workshops on the importance of prosocial bystanders in creating environments that protect and support survivors and respect the necessity of consent. Caris has served as the secretary of the Black Student Alliance (BSA). She is a member of the Denver Promise Scholars Program, Student Accountability Board, and the National Society for Collegiate Scholars. Along with Daniel Kim and Steven Yazzi, Caris is a creator of the Remember X Project.
