Professional Biography

Lynda Duran is a Ph.D. student in higher education at the University of Denver where her research is centered around operationalizing cultural capital and wealth to empower marginalized student groups and disrupt institutional and systemic barriers. She earned a B.A. in psychology from Colorado College and a master's in counseling psychology at the University of Colorado Denver in 2012. Her praxis interests lie in culturally-relevant co-curricular student learning and engagement. Lynda lives in Commerce City, CO with her family and enjoys reading, writing, and playing poker.
